IDB HVAC Solutions was founded on a simple observation from years in the field: the HVAC industry has plenty of salespeople and not enough installers in the room where decisions get made. Systems were being sold by square-footage rules of thumb, installed by whoever was available, and commissioned by “it blows cold, we’re done.” The equipment kept getting better. The installations didn’t.

So we built the company the other way up. At IDB, the people who quote your project carry the code books — IRC, IMC, WSEC, UMC — in working memory because they’ve been inspected against them for years. Estimates come from engineering-level load calculations, not from a pricing app. And the crews that show up are our crews, trained to our standard, accountable to the same name that’s on the proposal.

We’re headquartered in Federal Way with a branch crew in Snohomish, which puts our installers within reach of nearly every community on the Puget Sound — from Tacoma craftsman homes to Everett industrial floors. For two years we’ve grown the slow way: one referred customer, one repeat GC, one facilities manager who kept our number.
